We are so very pleased that you have taken the time to 'virtually' visit our kura school. I am very proud to be Tumuaki Principal of te kura o Waitaha and each day I am overwhelmed with the outstanding achievements of our young people. Waitaha School has a strong sense of community and is very well supported by our Board of Trustees.
At Waitaha School we encourage our young people to grow, thrive and succeed in learning and life.

Waitaha School is a state-funded specialist school for students who have qualified for Ongoing Resource Scheme (ORS) funding aged 5 – 21 years. We are an accredited fund holder for ORS verified ākonga. As of 2024, Waitaha School has satellite provision at West Rolleston School (Te Pā Harakeke ), Knightstream School (Te Tupu Harakeke) and Rolleston College (Te Rito Harakeke). Waitaha School also has a Community Hub that operates as part of our Waitech programme for our young people transitioning to community.
